What is Massage Therapy?

Massage Therapy is a type of treatment in which trained and certified medical professionals manipulate the soft tissues of your body, including the muscles, connective tissues, tendons, ligaments, and skin, using varying degrees of pressure and movement.

Massage Therapy is used for a variety of health-related purposes, including relief of pain, rehabilitation of sports injuries, decreasing muscle tension, and relaxation.

Generally, with muscle tension or an injury, there will be areas of painful rigid tissue—sometimes known as Trigger Points—in the muscles that cause pain and inflammation. At Clare Physiotherapy Clinic, our Chartered Physiotherapists have the necessary training to locate and effectively treat these painful Trigger Points, to help relieve pain and restore normal muscle function.

Unless specifically requested otherwise, some form of massage is generally incorporated into each treatment session.

Very pleasant experience. Staff are very nice to deal with and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a physio.
